Halloween visit to the museum's Haunted House, Fright Academy, with 'Friendly Hours' and 'Frightening Hours' guided by the museum's guild.
Friendly Feast with the Witches is at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis on Saturday, October 17. It's built around the museum's Haunted House, Fright Academy, which is now in its 62nd edition. The house is run by The Children's Museum Guild, whose first Haunted House opened in 1964 and has since welcomed more than 3.3 million visitors. The Guild has donated more than $17 million to the museum over the years.
There are two ways to walk through the house. 'Friendly Hours' have brighter lights, upbeat music and friendly greeters. 'Frightening Hours' bring dimmed lights, scarier music and masked 'Haunters' who may jump out. The choice lets you set your own level of spookiness.
The house sits at the center of a wider Halloween season at the museum, which includes member preview parties, member-only 'Twice the Fright Nights' and the Twilight Fright evening for children aged 7 to 14. The Children's Museum of Indianapolis is a nonprofit whose mission is to ignite joy, wonder and curiosity by creating powerful learning experiences for children and adults.
