Free screening of 'It's a Wonderful Life' at the Schrott Center for the Arts, part of Butler Arts' Free Community Movie Series.
It's a Wonderful Life screens at the Schrott Center for the Arts on Tuesday, December 15, as the final stop of Butler Arts' Free Community Movie Series. The film follows an angel sent from Heaven to help a desperately frustrated businessman see the value of his own life, and it's a family-friendly one that fits right into the holiday season.
The screening is part of a larger series that runs from October 20 through December 15, bringing a handful of family favorites to Indianapolis over the course of a few months. Each movie is paired with themed pre-show activities, so you're not just showing up for the film. Depending on the night, that's looked like trick-or-treating, Santa meet-and-greets, glitter tattoos, face painting, and craft stations—the kind of stuff that makes it easy to bring kids along and hang out for a while before the lights go down.
Every film in the series starts at 7 PM, and It's a Wonderful Life is no exception. The Schrott Center is at 610 W. 46th St., right on Butler University's campus, so you'll be in the heart of the university neighborhood. Doors open at 6 PM, which gives you plenty of time to get settled and check out those pre-show activities before the movie kicks off.
