Screening of new horror short films from around the world, presented by Heartland Film and the Irvington Halloween Festival with horror hosts The Bunny Beaumont and Good Time Ghoul.
Horror Shorts Movie Night comes to Kan-Kan Cinema on Tuesday, October 27, at 7:30 PM. It's a partnership between Heartland Film and the cinema, and the program is a collection of new horror shorts from around the globe. The Bunny Beaumont and Indy's Good Time Ghoul will be guiding the evening, so you've got two hosts to walk you through the lineup rather than just a silent screen.
The night is a fixture of the Historic Irvington Halloween Festival, an annual week-long celebration that the Irvington neighborhood has staged for generations. It's a big deal for the area, drawing thousands of residents, neighborhood organizations, and Eastside businesses. The festival runs from October 24 to 31, and the movie night is just one piece of it. The rest of the week includes a Halloween Ball with live music, a haunted-story night, a costume-filled street fair, and a Vampire Run. The whole thing relies heavily on volunteers and community donations to keep the tradition going, so it's a neighborhood effort as much as a series of events.

The night starts at 7:30 PM at Kan-Kan Cinema, 1258 Windsor St., Indianapolis, IN 46201.
