Fort Ben Dungeons and Dragons Club

The Fort Ben Dungeons and Dragons Club meets at the Fort Ben Branch library on Monday, December 21, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. It's a session for teens, and it's part of an ongoing campaign that's still open to new players, so you don't have to be there from the start to jump in.

If you haven't spent much time at the Fort Ben Branch, it's worth knowing what kind of place it is. The library is 22,000 square feet and sits on land the U.S. military decommissioned and handed over to the City of Indianapolis back in the 1990s. It's also the first library branch in Indiana to become a Certified Autism Center, an international accreditation through the IBCCES. And if you're into the technical side of things, the rooftop solar photovoltaic system provides around 80% of the building's electricity.

As for the club itself, the focus is on Dungeons and Dragons, the tabletop RPG where you create a character and build a story with a group. Since this is an ongoing campaign, the story has already been moving forward, but they're still welcoming new players into the fold. It's aimed at teens, so it's a good spot if you're looking for a regular game with people your own age. The session runs from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, December 21, at the Fort Ben Branch, 9330 East 56th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46216.
