Financial literacy workshop for seniors and adults on preparing for a financial emergency and building an emergency savings plan.
Preparing for a Financial Emergency is coming to the East Washington Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Monday, November 16, from 5 PM to 6 PM. It's part of the Money, Me & Key workshop series presented by KeyBank, and this particular session is aimed at seniors and adults.
The hour is built around a few concrete questions. First, what actually counts as a financial emergency? It's a simple question, but the answer changes depending on where you're coming from. From there, the workshop moves into how to prepare for one and why having an emergency savings plan matters in the first place. The second half of the session is more about the how: you'll look at the tools and resources you need to build a strategy and then how to put it into practice.
