Family Game Night

Family Game Night is coming to the College Avenue Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Tuesday, December 8, from 6 PM to 7:30 PM. It's open to all ages, so you can bring the kids or just a few friends and spend the evening playing. The session is free, and you don't need to bring anything from home to get started.

There are two ways to spend the night. If you're into the Pokémon Trading Card Game, you can set up and play that. If that's not your thing, there's a collection of classic and modern board, card, and dice games to choose from. You can pick one and stick with it, or swap around as the night goes on. Library staff will be on hand to make recommendations and answer questions, which is handy if you're staring at the shelf and can't decide what to dive into.

It's a low-pressure way to spend a Tuesday evening. Since it's open to all ages, it works as a family outing or just a casual night out with people your own age. You can bring your own Pokémon deck if you've got one, or just rely on the library's collection for everything else. The whole thing runs from 6 PM to 7:30 PM at the College Avenue Branch, 4180 North College Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46205.
