Dungeons & Dragons session for ages 12 and up at the Glendale Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library, with game materials and dice provided.
Dungeons & Dragons is coming to the Glendale Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Tuesday, November 10, from 6 PM to 7:45 PM. It's a session for ages 12 and up, and the library provides the game materials and dice, so you don't need to bring your own set to get in on the action.
If you're not familiar with the venue, the Glendale Branch has a bit of a story. It's part of the Indianapolis Public Library system, which has served the Broad Ripple community since 1930, with its first stand-alone library opening in 1949. A larger branch opened in Broad Ripple Park in 1986, and the Glendale Branch followed in 2000 inside Glendale Mall, where it became the country's first full-service library located in a major shopping mall. In 2024, the branch moved to a new 24,800-square-foot space at the site of the former John Strange Elementary School.

Since it's open to anyone 12 and older, it's a good spot to bring a friend or a younger sibling who's been wanting to try the game. You'll be playing in that new space on the northeast side, and since the library handles the materials and dice, the only thing you really need to bring is yourself. The session runs from 6 PM to 7:45 PM on Tuesday, November 10, at the Glendale Branch.
