Central librarians read poems by their favourite poets to mark the end of Daylight Saving Time, with a poetry resource highlight and books to take home.
Fall Back into Poetry is happening at the Indianapolis Public Library on Sunday, November 1, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. The whole thing is built around the end of Daylight Saving Time: the library is inviting you to put that extra hour to good use while Central Librarians read poems by their favorite poets. It's a low-pressure afternoon, and you can just sit and listen, talk about what you hear, discover some new favorites, or bring a poem of your own to share with the room.
If you register in advance, you'll get a reminder that includes a list of recommended poetry to get you in the mood. On the day of the event, the library will highlight its poetry resources and have books available to take home, so if you find something you like, you can walk away with a copy. It's as much about the reading as it is about the conversation that follows.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Indianapolis and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
