Art session for children aged 3 to 6 with artist Jeremy South of Ripple Mobile Arts, inspired by picture books.
Art Adventures is coming to the Central Library on Friday, November 13, from 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM. It's an art session for kids aged 3 to 6, led by artist Jeremy South of Ripple Mobile Arts. The whole thing is built around picture books: the kids look at them for inspiration and then get to make their own masterpiece using clay and other materials. It's a hands-on hour, so they'll be working alongside South rather than just watching him.
Ripple Mobile Arts is South's outfit, and the session is part of the library's programming for the younger crowd. The clay is the main event here, but there are other materials on the table too, so the kids aren't just sticking to one thing. It's a short window—forty-five minutes—which is about right for that age group before they start to wander.
