Hispanic Business Council celebration of Hispanic businesses and arts with artwork, networking and live music by Bembé.
The Conexión Celebration is coming to The Cabaret on Thursday, October 22, from 4:00 to 6:30 PM. It's presented by the Indy Chamber's Hispanic Business Council, which puts together this celebration of Hispanic businesses and arts in Central Indiana. The Council describes Conexión as one of the most diverse event series in the region, and they frame it as a platform that goes beyond networking to give Hispanic and Latino entrepreneurs an equal seat at the table of groundbreaking work that impacts the entire area.
The evening mixes art and conversation. You can explore work by the featured artist of the year, Mirvia Sol Eckert, and hear from leaders who have taken part in the Council's Mentor-Protégé and ENCLAVE programs. Those speakers will talk about the impact of business leaders investing in one another, so the night is as much about the people and the stories as it is about the art. Adding to the mix is live music from Bembé, an Afro-Latino group.
