Self-care workshop led by Brittany Wayman of Soul Care Coaching to practice simple grounding exercises and find moments of rest.
Brittany Wayman of Soul Care Coaching is leading a self-care workshop called Catch your Breath: Grounding Practices at the Franklin Road Branch on Tuesday, November 3. It runs from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, and the whole thing is built around the idea of slowing down and exhaling when your schedule feels like it's running you.
During the session, you'll reflect on and practice simple grounding exercises—the kind of small, manageable tools you can actually use when things get loud—to find a few moments of rest and peace. The goal is to walk away with practical ways to reset when life feels overwhelming, rather than just talking about the idea of self-care in the abstract. It's a hands-on workshop, so you'll be doing the work rather than just listening to a presentation.
Wayman runs Soul Care Coaching, and this session is made possible by Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation. It's a library program, so it's open to anyone who needs a little breathing room in their week.
