Spanish-language workshop on building business credit, structuring a fundable company and accessing SBA loans, part of the IndyPL Financial Literacy programming.
The Haughville Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library is hosting a Business Credit & Entrepreneurship Workshop on Tuesday, November 3, from 6 PM to 8 PM. It's part of the library's Financial Literacy programming, and the whole session is offered in Spanish.
If you've ever wondered why your personal credit score doesn't tell the whole story when you're trying to get a loan for a business, this is where it starts. The workshop spends time on the fundamental difference between personal and business credit, and then walks through how to actually build a business credit profile from the ground up. From there, it gets into the structural side: how to set up your company so it's fundable in the eyes of lenders, what those lenders and investors are looking for when they review an application, and the different paths to getting capital—SBA loans, lines of credit, and alternative funding sources.
One thing that makes this more than just a lecture is what you walk away with. Everyone leaves with a Business Credit & Funding Readiness Roadmap, a practical blueprint you can use to establish your business credit and secure the capital you need to launch or grow. It's meant to be a tool you actually use, not just a set of notes you file away.
