Afternoon building session for school-age children and families using LEGOs, blocks and other kid-friendly building materials.
Block Party at Warren is coming to the Warren Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Saturday, November 28, from 2 PM to 3 PM. It's a building session for school-age kids and their families, with LEGOs, blocks, and other kid-friendly building materials on hand for them to work with. The whole point is to let kids flex their creative and building skills, so they can spend the hour putting things together and seeing what they can make.
The session takes place in the Community Room of the Warren Branch, which is located at 9701 East 21st Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229. If you're not familiar with the branch, it's a 16,000-square-foot library serving Warren Township that first opened in 1974. It sits right next to Lakeside Elementary School and northeast of Warren Central High School. The building has a bit of history behind it: a fire in 1979 forced it to close for seven months, and a $1.1 million renovation completed in 2016 was the first major overhaul since it originally opened. Now it's back to its usual role as a neighborhood hub for the community.

Since the session is aimed at school-age children and families, it's a good one to bring the kids along to. They'll have LEGOs, blocks, and other building materials ready to go, so they can just dive in and start creating. It runs from 2 PM to 3 PM on Saturday, November 28, in the Community Room at the Warren Branch.
