Monthly art therapy group for high schoolers aged 14 to 19 to explore identity, emotions and belonging through paint, collage, clay and mixed media.
Aubrey Rhodes is leading an art therapy studio at Create Art Studio in Indianapolis, a monthly group that runs on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. It's open to high schoolers aged 14 to 19, and the whole thing is built around giving them a creative space to slow down, connect, and explore who they are right now and who they're becoming.
Rhodes is a psychotherapist and art therapist at Northside Mental Health, and she brings that background to the table. The sessions work with paint, collage, clay, fiber, and mixed media, and they follow a gentle flow: grounding, creative play, shared reflection, and integration. Along the way, the group touches on themes like identity, emotions, relationships, community, and imagining the future, all in a supportive, pressure-free way. It's aimed especially at teenagers navigating change, feeling in-between, or craving a sense of belonging, and all the materials are provided, so you don't need to bring anything with you.

Because it's a monthly group, it's more of a steady thing than a one-off. You can drop in for a single class at $50, or sign up for the year at $480, which brings it down to $40 per session. It runs on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at Create Art Studio in Indianapolis.
