Free outdoor screening of 'Christmas Vacation' on Skylawn's rooftop park, with food and drinks from POST Market.
POST is bringing Christmas Vacation to Skylawn on Friday, December 11, as part of its Movie Nights on Skylawn series. The screening runs from 7 PM to 9 PM, and the movie is free with an RSVP. The venue is at 401 Franklin Street in downtown Houston.
If you haven't spent much time there, Skylawn is the rooftop park at POST Houston. The series brings cinema up to the roof, with everything from seasonal titles to all-time classics playing against the backdrop of downtown. It's an open-air setup, so you'll be watching Christmas Vacation with the city skyline around you rather than inside a theater. The screenings are open to all ages, so it works as a family outing as much as a night out with friends.
One of the best parts of the location is what's right downstairs. POST Market is on-site, and attendees are invited to grab food and drinks from there to bring up to the lawn. It means you can pick up dinner and drinks and settle in before the movie starts, rather than relying on whatever snacks you can carry in. Since the screening is open to all ages, it's easy to make a whole evening of it.
