10th anniversary of AfroTech, the world's largest Black tech conference, with 300-plus speakers, 15 tracks and an author pavilion.
AfroTech returns to the George R. Brown Convention Center from November 2 to 6, 2026, marking the 10th anniversary of what's billed as the world's largest Black tech conference. Organized by Blavity, Inc., it brings together more than 40,000 engineers, founders, and Black professionals over five days. The scale is hard to wrap your head around: 300-plus speakers, 15 tracks, and 11 stages running at once. If you're in the industry, it's one of those dates that anchors the year.
The lineup includes Carrol Chang, CEO of Andela; Shannon Womack, Head of Global Brand and Creative at Delta Air Lines; Monique Idlett, Co-Founder and General Partner at Reign Ventures; Dr. Louis Carr, President of BET; and Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley. Between the main sessions, the HealthStack Conference runs in parallel, and the AFROTECH Authors Pavilion, presented by Penguin Random House with Storehouse Voices, pairs 25-minute moderated author talks with panels before sending writers to the Book Nook—a pop-up bookstore run by Houston's Kindred Stories—to sign copies. The expo floor gathers recruiters, founders, and executives, and the AFROTECH Story dinners, which started in 2024 as a small dinner hosted by Rauk AI founder and CEO Christine Izuakor, became an official conference partnership in 2025. There's also the AfroTech Connect app to keep you connected year-round.
