Stand-up comedy performance by Dave Chappelle on his Karmageddon Tour, a phone-free experience.
Dave Chappelle is coming to the Toyota Center on Wednesday, October 28, as part of his Karmageddon tour. It's a single night in Houston, so if you're planning on going, you'll want to get your tickets sorted well before the date.
There's one thing you should know before you buy: this is a phone-free show. When you arrive, all phones, smartwatches, and accessories go into Yondr pouches, which stay locked for the duration of the performance. If you need to check a text or take a call, you'll have to head to one of the designated Phone Use Areas to unlock yours. It's a move he's been making for a while now, and it changes the whole roomβno screens lighting up during the set, just everyone watching the same thing at the same time.
If you've never seen him live, that's a good place to start. He's known for taking his time on stage, letting a bit build and lean into the silence as much as the punchline. The Karmageddon tour is the current run, and since he's a stand-up, the whole night is just him and a microphone. There's no opening act to kill time with; the ticket is for Chappelle himself.

The show starts at 7:30 PM, and the doors open at 6:00 PM, so you've got plenty of time to get through the Yondr process and find your seat without rushing. The Toyota Center is at 1510 Polk St, right in the middle of downtown Houston. If you're coming from across town, give yourself a little extra buffer for parking and getting inside. Between the 6:00 PM doors and the 7:30 PM start, there's a good window to settle in before he takes the stage.
