New Year's Eve show by Cape Breton roots musician Matt Minglewood and his band at the Bruce Guthro Theatre, marking an early salute to his 80th birthday.
Matt Minglewood is bringing his band to The Bruce Guthro Theatre at Casino Nova Scotia on December 31, 2026, for a New Year's Eve show. It's a double occasion: the night marks the turn of the year and serves as an early salute to Minglewood's 80th birthday.
Minglewood is one of the East Coast's longest-running musical voices. Raised in Cape Breton, he's spent more than five decades blending rock, blues and country rooted in the Maritimes. His catalogue includes fan favourites like 'Me and the Boys', 'East Coast Blues', 'Stood Up' and 'Rockin' the Blues'. Over that time he's earned three gold records, multiple East Coast Music Awards and the ECMA Lifetime Achievement Award, and he's been inducted into the Nova Scotia Music Hall of Fame. This year he was appointed to the Order of Nova Scotia.
