A family-friendly festival celebrating Indian culture with street food, live music, dance, crafts and vendors.
Flavours of India takes over Foundation Wharf at the Halifax Waterfront on Sunday, August 16, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. It's a day-long celebration of Indian culture, food, music and tradition, and this year it's an expanded edition of the event.
The food is the main draw: authentic Indian street food and regional cuisines served up throughout the day. Alongside that, there's a steady stream of live music, DJ sets and cultural performances, with Bollywood, folk and traditional dance shows on the programme. If you're into the more hands-on side of things, you'll find henna artists, handmade crafts and cultural vendors, plus shopping from local vendors. For families, there are bouncy castles and other activities to keep the kids occupied while you're eating.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Halifax and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
