Doug Hawco

Doug Hawco plays the Harbourstone Sea Grill & Pour House on Friday 25 September, starting at 6:00 PM. He's a singer-songwriter based right here in Halifax, so this is a local night in the city.

If you're not familiar with his work, Hawco's writing pulls from a few different places. He draws on the rock of U2 and Ryan Adams, the country of Garth Brooks, and the traditional styles of Great Big Sea, so the set sits somewhere across folk, Americana, and roots. He's still writing and releasing music, and he's played more than 1,000 shows around the world since his second full-length album, Life on the Water, came out in February 2017. That record is a good place to start if you want to get a sense of where he's coming from before the night.
