A free community expo with 40+ exhibitors, a lived experience panel, food and activities exploring disability supports.
Disability Showcase: Pathway to Connection is coming to the Cedar Event Centre on Saturday, September 12, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. It's a free community expo that brings together people with disabilities, their families, caregivers, and service providers under one roof.
The day is run jointly by the Brain Injury Association of Nova Scotia, March of Dimes Canada, and Caregivers Nova Scotia—three organisations that partner up to put this on as a day for resource sharing and connection. The floor will have more than 40 exhibitors, so you can walk around and discover local resources, make new connections, and get a better sense of the supports available in the community. There's also a lived experience panel, where people share their own stories and perspectives on navigating disability supports.
Beyond the exhibitors and the panel, there's food and activities throughout the day, so it's as much about hanging out as it is about gathering information. It's a drop-in event, which means you can come for the whole morning or just pop in for an hour when it suits you.

It's free to attend, and there's no registration required—you just show up. Parking is free on the day, too. The Cedar Event Centre is at 111 Clayton Park Dr, Halifax, NS B3M 1M3, and the expo runs from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 12.
