Wankernomics

W*nkernomics comes to The Pavilion Theatre on Tuesday 3 November, a comedy show from workplace w*nkers presented by Gag Reflex in association with Fane Productions. It's a thought-leadership driven stand-up show that unpacks how corporate 'bullshittery' is taking over people's lives, so if you've spent any time in an office listening to people talk about 'synergy' and 'low-hanging fruit' while your actual work piles up, this is your territory.

It's not just a set of jokes about bad bosses, though. The critics have described it as 'superbly written, expertly fine-tuned and fantastically funny' (Glam Adelaide), and 'wickedly clever satire' (On The Record). Express Magazine went a bit further, calling it 'less a stand-up set than an unhinged corporate onboarding session mutating slowly into immersive theatre' — which gives you a decent sense of the vibe. It's less about the punchline and more about the whole thing slowly coming apart around you, like a team-building day that's gone completely off the rails.

If you've been keeping an eye on it, there's a bit of a catch for the Glasgow date: it's already listed as sold out. If you missed out on a ticket, it's not the end of the road — the company has announced a 2027 tour with a brand new show, so there will be more of this on the horizon next year. For now, the Glasgow show is on 3 November at The Pavilion Theatre.
