VIP Record Fair

VIP Record Fair comes to Glasgow Club Bellahouston on Saturday 14 November, bringing together vinyl, CDs and music memorabilia from dealers on the VIP circuit. It's a one-day affair, with hundreds of sellers gathered under one roof, and it's described as the biggest and most established event of its kind for music fans in the area.

The range of what you'll find covers a lot of ground. Indie, punk, soul, reggae, metal, dance, jazz and classic rock are all represented, alongside bargains, rarities and deletions. It's the kind of place where you can spend a few hours digging through crates across a dozen different genres in a single morning, rather than hopping between different shops. There's also memorabilia on the tables, not just records.

Behind it is Rob Lythall, who started VIP Record Fairs out of a passion for vinyl and the joy of music lovers coming together. He describes his mission as keeping that spirit alive by creating welcoming events where collectors, traders and fans can share stories and discover music that means something to them. The organisers claim over 50 years of experience and bill their fairs as the UK's largest and most trusted, held in spacious, fully indoor venues across the country. For this one, the Glasgow stop is presented as the only chance to browse, barter and buy face to face, with staff on hand to help sellers list their collections or find a buyer. Traders get easy ground-level loading, which helps bring in the larger stalls.

It runs from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm at Glasgow Club Bellahouston, Bellahouston Drive, Glasgow South Side G52 1HH. Admission is £3, with early entry for £6 at 9 am if you want to get a head start on the crates.
