Outdoor Christmas destination on Glasgow Green with an open-air ice rink, 'A Very Merry Circus' in the Festive Big Top, the Observation Wheel and artisan gift stalls.
Glasgow's Winter Wonderland returns to Glasgow Green on Friday 20 November, running through to Sunday 3 January 2027, with the site closed on Christmas Day. The whole thing is built around the McLennan Arch, and the organisers describe it as Christmas, Glasgow style, with a city atmosphere and food and drink from some of the city's best vendors. It's an outdoor site and dog-friendly, provided they're on a lead.
The main draw is the ice rink, a big open-air one with its own festive bar. Beside it, 'A Very Merry Circus' runs in the Festive Big Top, and there's a solar-powered Observation Wheel. Santa's Grotto is there for the kids, and the ride list is long: the Bavarian Snow Slide, the Helter Skelter, The Storm, the Venetian Flying Chairs, the Mad Mouse coaster, the Candy Cane Bungee, trampolines, a carousel, and the Flying Balloon Tower. There's also an 800-seat festive bar with live entertainment and artisan gift stalls. It's a mix of gentle rides for younger children and thrill rides for older visitors, with ticketed attractions and gift stalls tucked in between.
There are a few specific dates to keep in mind. On Sunday 6 December, there's ASN Ice Skating from 12:00 to 13:00, followed by The Big Phat Brunch from 13:00 to 17:00. ASN Santa's Grotto runs on Thursday 17 December at multiple times throughout the day.
