A winter market featuring independent creative businesses from across Scotland, with textiles, jewellery, ceramics and handcrafted work.
Tea Green are bringing their winter market to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December, with independent creative businesses from across Scotland taking over the grand halls. It's a pop-up that gathers makers from all over the country under one roof, so you'll find textiles, jewellery, ceramics, illustration and other handcrafted work in one go.
The thing that sets it apart from a standard craft fair is that the stalls are staffed by the makers themselves. You're not buying from a middleman; you're talking to the person who actually made the thing, and you can ask them about how it's put together. It turns a bit of Christmas shopping into something more of a conversation.
Tea Green Events has been running this format since 2014, and it's grown into one of Scotland's leading names in the pop-up scene. They describe themselves as being committed to championing the country's independent creative talent through thoughtfully curated events, and this market is a good example of thatβa wide range of Scottish makers brought together in a single space.

Setting it inside Kelvingrove puts the whole thing against the backdrop of the museum's exhibitions and architecture, so you can wander through the galleries and the market in the same trip. If you find something larger that you can't carry home, the organisers run a click-and-collect service for bigger pieces. Entry is free, and it runs from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday, at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum on Argyle Street in the West End, G3 8AG.
