Free exhibition of documentary, reportage and street photography from photographers around the world, plus Scottish practitioners, at the Glasgow Gallery of Photography.
Stories opens at The Glasgow Gallery of Photography on 4 November and runs until 28 November. It's an international photography exhibition built around a narrative brief, drawing on documentary, reportage and street photography to bring the theme to life. The images come from photographers across the globe alongside Scottish practitioners, so you'll see work from right here in Scotland sitting next to photographers from further afield.
The show is part of the gallery's Season of Photography 2026, a celebration of photography in Scotland that runs from 9 September to 20 December. The gallery itself opened on High Street in 2019 and programmes work by Scottish and international photographers throughout the year; they describe it as a sanctuary for the art of capturing moments and emotions through the lens. Inside the exhibition space, there's also a bookshop stocking photography books and prints, so if you see something that sticks with you, you can probably find a book on the subject without leaving the building.

After that, it's open Wednesday to Sunday, midday to 4pm, with last admission at 3.45pm. Entry is free, and you'll find the gallery at 279-281 High Street in the city centre, G4 0QS.
