Northern Irish DJ and producer Multunes brings his Stack City party vibes to the O2 Academy Glasgow on Boxing Day.
Multunes brings his Stack City party back to the O2 Academy Glasgow on Saturday 26 December, Boxing Day. It's a late one, with doors opening at 10pm, so if you're planning to make it, you'll be heading out well after the Boxing Day dinner has cleared.
Multunes is the alias of Tom Muldoon, a Northern Irish DJ and producer from Fermanagh. He spent some time pivoting to music technology before building a following with his own local Liverpool events under the Stack City Raves brand. From there he broke onto the wider electronic scene when viral social media clips pushed his performances to a much larger audience. His sound blends heavy club beats, trance-infused rhythms and house edits, and he's built a following across the UK, Ireland and summer destinations like Ibiza.
The night lands at the O2 Academy Glasgow, a Grade B listed building that's been a cornerstone of the city's live scene since it opened in 2003 with Deacon Blue on the stage. The site has a long history: it was originally the Eglinton St United Secession Church, built in 1825, then became The New Bedford Picture House in 1921. That cinema burnt down in 1932 and reopened on 31 December that same year, before closing in 1973 and spending a decade boarded up. Since its 2003 reopening, it's hosted the likes of Belle and Sebastian, The White Stripes, The Prodigy, Motorhead, Foals, Stereophonics and Snoop Dogg.
