Welsh comedian Mike Bubbins brings his brand-new live comedy tour IDEASMAN to The Pavilion Theatre.
Mike Bubbins brings his brand-new live comedy tour IDEASMAN to The Pavilion Theatre on Saturday 27 February 2027, with the show starting at 7:30pm. It's billed as his first-ever solo UK stand-up tour, and the hour is described as powerful, thought-provoking and visceral, pushing boundaries and defying neat descriptions.
If you're not familiar with him, Bubbins is a Welsh comedian, actor, writer and broadcaster who's worked across a fair few different formats. He created, co-wrote and starred in the BBC sitcom Mammoth, whose first series was the biggest debut sitcom on BBC2 in five years. He's also one of the hosts of The Socially Distant Sports Bar, a podcast that launched during the 2020 lockdown and has run for over five years and close to 300 episodes, and he's appeared in BBC comedies Tourist Trap and The Unexplainers.
There's a bit of a rugby thread running through his background too: he's a former professional player, coach and PE teacher. He's also been a finalist in the European Elvis Tribute Act Championship, supported Rhod Gilbert on tour and is a regular guest on BBC Radio Wales. IDEASMAN is the first time he's taken a solo stand-up show on the road around the UK, so it's a bit of a shift from the sitcoms and podcasts.
