Layton Williams takes to the stage on his nationwide tour marking the 20th anniversary of his stage debut, with a company of artists and dancers.
Layton Williams brings his tour to The Pavilion Theatre on Monday 8 March, starting at 7:30pm. The show is called Layton Live, and it marks the 20th anniversary of his stage debut.
If you've followed his career, you'll know it started early. He first made his name as Billy Elliot in the West End at twelve, and later played Stephen Carmichael in the sitcom Bad Education. Since then, his stage credits have run from Cabaret, Hairspray and Everybody's Talking About Jamie to the jukebox musical Titanique, which won him his first Olivier Award and earned a Tony nomination when he reprised the role on Broadway. Layton Live takes the audience on a musical tour of that journey, from Billy Elliot to Titanique, with the numbers that shaped his career performed alongside a company of artists and dancers. The show combines stories, vocals and dance routines, and it's part of a nationwide tour running for a strictly limited number of performances.

It's a bit of a retrospective, so you'll hear songs from across his career rather than a single show. He's an Olivier Award winner and a Tony nominee, and he'll be sharing the stage with a full company of artists and dancers rather than going it alone. The Glasgow date is Monday 8 March at The Pavilion Theatre, with the curtain going up at 7:30pm.
