Lucy Beaumont returns with her surreal stand-up comedy show, drawing on her recent television appearances and chaotic life experiences.
Lucy Beaumont is back at The Pavilion Theatre on Wednesday 10 March 2027, with her show Bad At Quiz Shows, Good With Weirdos. It follows her sell-out debut UK tour and draws on her recent run of television appearances, which have put her in front of a lot more people than her early stand-up days.
If you've caught her on screen lately, you'll recognise the material she's working with. The set leans on her recent mishaps and a rather chaotic personal life: losing a contestant Β£79,000 on The Wheel, forgetting to revise for Mastermind, going into hiding after Celebrity Traitors, and creating cow udder couture on The Great British Sewing Bee. It's a run of bad luck that reads like a comedy of errors, and she's turning it into the core of the show.
Beaumont has been around the circuit for a while. She first made her name as a finalist on the 2011 edition of So You Think You're Funny, won a BBC Radio New Comedy Award in 2012, and was named a Best Newcomer Award Nominee at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2014. TV audiences know her from 8 Out of Ten Cats alongside her then-husband, fellow comedian Jon Richardson, and more recently from Taskmaster, Celebrity Traitors and The Great British Sewing Bee.

She describes the show as an evening of chaotic brilliance, mayhem and surreal storytelling, and says it's for anyone for whom 'normal' has never made much of an appearance. It's a surreal stand-up set that takes those public blunders and spins them into something. The Pavilion Theatre is at 121 Renfield Street in the city centre, and the show starts at 8pm.
