Stage adaptation of Irvine Welsh's follow-up novel to Trainspotting, exploring the lives of the original characters twenty years later.
Irvine Welsh's PORNO comes to The Pavilion Theatre on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 January 2027, with a Friday night show at 7.30pm and a Saturday double: a 2.30pm matinee followed by a 7.30pm evening performance. It's a stage adaptation of Welsh's novel PORNO, which serves as the follow-up to Trainspotting.
If you're familiar with the original, you'll know where it starts. PORNO picks up twenty years later and asks what's become of Renton, Sickboy, Spud and Begbie. It's the same gang, just two decades on, so it works as a companion piece to the story that started it all. The production was adapted for the stage by Davie Carswell, who wrote The Tommy Burns Story and Glasgow Kiss, and it's billed as a West End smash hit.
It arrives in Glasgow after a sold-out run at the Leith Theatre, so it's coming off a strong reception in Edinburgh before it makes its way over to the city centre. The Pavilion is at 121 Renfield Street, right in the heart of Glasgow, which makes it an easy one to get to from anywhere in town.

One thing to keep in mind: the show is recommended for ages 16 and over, so it's not one for the younger ones. With three performances over two days, you've got a choice of a Friday night, a Saturday afternoon, or a Saturday evening. The Pavilion is at 121 Renfield Street, Glasgow City Centre G2 3AX.
