A magical, musical and laugh-out-loud festive pantomime at The Pavilion Theatre, featuring local Glasgow humour and audience participation.
Goldilocks and the Three Bonnie Bears opens at The Pavilion Theatre on Thursday 26 November, running through to Sunday 10 January. It's the Pavilion's Christmas panto, and if you've been before, you know the vibe: it's a Glasgow variety theatre, the home of comedy, tribute nights, and hypnotists, and it's widely known as the easiest theatre in the city to reach by train.
The Pavilion's panto has its own distinct character, too. While the King's Theatre is only half a mile away, the Pavilion's show is broader, cheekier, and leans into local in-jokes rather than celebrity casting, which is why it draws such a loyal Glasgow family crowd. This year's story follows Goldilocks, daughter of Gertie, who runs the circus. Goldilocks stumbles upon a family of three bonnie bears, each with their own big personality, bigger appetite, and even bigger heart. When a wicked ringmaster threatens to tear down the bears' beloved home to expand his travelling circus, Goldilocks teams up with her furry friends to save the day. It's a classic setup, and the show promises soaring songs, slapstick chaos, colourful costumes, and audience participation.
On stage, Liam Dolan leads the cast, with returning favourites Grado, Stephen Purdon, Scott Fletcher, Jack Jester, Jennifer Neil, Valissa Scott, and Craig Glover. New for 2026 is Louise McCarthy, joining as one of The Dolls. Between the returning faces and the new addition, there's a good mix of the familiar and the fresh.
