A guided walking tour exploring Glasgow's street art and modern culture, visiting over a dozen murals and sharing the stories behind them.
The Glasgow Street Art Walking Tour runs every day at 2pm in Glasgow City Centre, with dates listed from 9 January to 20 December 2026. It's a guided walk that turns its back on the cathedrals and grand monuments, taking you instead through the city's alleys and under its bridges to find the street art and modern culture that usually stays in the background.
A local expert leads the way, stopping at more than a dozen murals along the route. At each one, they share the story and the inspiration behind the piece, with the artists ranging from world-renowned names to local figures. It's as much about the people behind the paint as the work itself.
As you go, the guide traces how Glasgow's art scene has developed over the last decade, the city council's role in it, and the fine line between graffiti and art. There are also snapshots of Glasgow's modern life, its nightlife and its creative industries woven in, so you get a sense of the city beyond the murals.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Glasgow and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
