Glasgow's biggest Halloween event returns to the Botanic Gardens with the Zombie Zoo light and sound trail, featuring decontamination tunnels, observation labs and live feeding demonstrations.
GlasGLOW returns to the Glasgow Botanic Gardens from 16 October to 1 November 2026. It's become a bit of a fixture in the city's autumn calendar since it first launched in 2018, and this year's theme is Zombie Zoo.
The main event is a 60-minute outdoor light and sound trail that takes you through the gardens after dark. The Zombie Zoo is presented as the world's first state-of-the-art zombie containment and conservation facility, and the trail follows that through with decontamination tunnels, observation labs and live feeding demonstrations by 'dead-friendly' zombies. Beyond the trail, there's Marshmallowland, a gourmet GLOW street food village, a pumpkin patch and a Glow bar. This year brings a few new options too: Twilight tickets for a daylight visit, Fast Pass to skip the queues, and Mallow tickets. For those who find the crowds or the noise a bit much, there are relaxed ASN sessions on 16 and 17 October at 5.30pm, which come with a Sensory Guide, GLOW passes and a quiet space on site.
GlasGLOW is billed as Scotland's biggest Halloween event, and it's grown into the UK's biggest and best-loved since it started. It's run by itison Events, and it turns the Botanic Gardens into an after-dark world of light, sound and Halloween adventure. Reviewers have called it a 'spooktacular spectacle' and 'one of the most magical and unique events Scotland has to offer'.
