Forensic pathologist Dr Richard Shepherd brings his tour on the role of time in forensic investigation to The Pavilion Theatre, exploring the mysteries of life, death and the minutes in between.
Dr Richard Shepherd brings his new tour to The Pavilion Theatre on Monday 26 October, starting at 7.30pm. He's a forensic pathologist who's spent his career working with death, and this show, Time of Death - More Unnatural Causes, is built around the role of time in forensic investigation.
If the name doesn't ring a bell, the CV might. Shepherd is one of the UK's most distinguished forensic pathologists, with more than 23,000 autopsies to his name. He's worked on some of the biggest cases of recent times: the Hungerford Massacre, the sinking of the Marchioness, the Princess Diana inquiry, the 9/11 attacks, the London bombings, the death of Jo Cox MP, and the work of Russian assassination squads. He's also a familiar face from television, having appeared in series like Body in the Water, Autopsy: The Last Hours Of..., The Death Detective, and The Truth About My Murder.
This is a new show, coming after his acclaimed tours in 2021 and 2022. He frames it not just as a lecture on forensic pathology, but as a deeply personal account of how a career spent in the darkest corners of humanity has shaped his view on life. He describes it as an exploration of the mysteries of life, death, and the minutes in between.
