Stand-up comedy show from Deirdre O'Kane at The Pavilion Theatre, exploring domestic failures and historical injustice.
Deirdre O'Kane returns to Glasgow on Saturday 17 April 2027 with All The Rage, a brand new stand-up show that takes irritation, absurdity and outrage and turns them into brilliantly observed comedy. It's a new run of material, so you'll be seeing it fresh rather than a repeat of her previous tours.
O'Kane builds the set around the things that get under the skin. She balances the small, everyday domestic failures we all recognise with larger moments of historical injustice, and takes aim at the double tragedies of heartbreak and getting Christmas all wrong. It's that mix of the trivial and the weighty that gives her work its edge.
She'll be performing at The Pavilion Theatre on Renfield Street in the city centre. It's Glasgow's favourite variety theatre, first built in 1904 as a music hall, and it still keeps its Edwardian-style faรงade. Inside, there's a grand entrance foyer with a marble staircase and stained glass windows, and an auditorium with ornate plasterwork and a proscenium arch stage that seats around 1,450. Over the years it's hosted Laurel and Hardy, Judy Garland and Morecambe and Wise, so it's a room that knows its way around a comedy crowd.
