Award-winning comedy collective Chunks bring their late-night craziness to a family show at Gael & Grain.
Chunks are bringing their comedy to Gael & Grain on Saturday 20 March, for a show called Chunks Is For The Children!. It's their first ever show for children and their grown-ups, taking the late-night craziness they're known for and turning it into a family affair.
If you haven't come across them before, Chunks are an award-winning, anarchic, cult comedy collective. They've built a reputation for a style that sits somewhere between Monty Python, Mighty Boosh, League of Gentlemen and The Fast Show — fast-paced, surreal, and a bit off the wall. The Skinny described them as "fast growing into a full scale comedy movement", while Ed Fest Mag called them "the cream of Britain's alternative comedy talent". This is that same energy, just shifted from the late-night slot to a morning one. The show's own tagline sums it up: "It's going to be very very silly."

They're playing at Gael & Grain, 23 Sandyford Place, G3 7NG, which is the Glasgow International Comedy Festival's flagship venue. It's billed as "the best wee venue for comedy in Glasgow", a room that also serves fantastic food and allows assist dogs. The show starts at 11:00am, so it's a proper morning out for the kids and the adults who come with them. Tickets are £8.80.
