Create your own seasonal wreath with Ashleigh behind Blooming Mad, with drinks and food available at the Barras Art and Design Centre.
BAaD is running a wreath workshop on Saturday 28 November, Saturday 5 December and Sunday 6 December, with each session running from 11:00 to 14:00. You'll make your own seasonal wreath, and there are drinks and food on the day, so it's as much about the morning as the thing you take home.
Ashleigh, the florist behind Blooming Mad, is leading the sessions. She's a proudly independent florist who pours her heart and soul into designing beautiful, meaningful arrangements, and describes how every bouquet is carefully created to feel personal and special. That's the same approach she'll bring to these workshops: you'll work through the process of putting together your own wreath, with her there to guide you.
The workshop is part of the Christmas and arts-and-crafts programme at Barras Art and Design (BAaD), a venue, studio, retail space and creative hub in the heart of the Barras Market. It's a unique building with a spectacular covered courtyard and a glazed roof supported on pink steel arches, home to a tropical courtyard oasis, a floating restaurant and a sun-trapped container yard, and run by The Calton Taproom. It's a big, open space that's as much about the building as the things happening inside it.
