A family Halloween show with magic, mystery and singalong fun for all ages, featuring nostalgic favourites and new spooky mysteries.
Artie's Singing Kettle is coming to The Pavilion Theatre on Monday 12 October, as part of the venue's October half term and Halloween programme. It's a family show, so it's one you'll be taking the kids to rather than heading out to on your own.
They're billing it as a 'spooktacular extravaganza' with magic and merriment at the centre, and they're encouraging everyone to turn up in their most creative Halloween costumes, so if you've got a fancy dress effort you've been waiting for an excuse to wear, this is a good shout. The show mixes brand-new spooky Singing Kettle mysteries with the old favourites you'll probably remember: Bunny Fou Fou, The Ghost Hunt, and Ye Cannae Shove Yer Granny Aff the Bus all make the set, so there's a fair bit of nostalgia in there alongside the newer stuff.
One thing to keep in mind is the tone. They've kept it deliberately light—nothing too spooky—so it should be enchanting for the smaller ones without being scary, and still hold up as entertainment for the adults in the room. It's a singalong show, so expect to be joining in rather than just sitting back.
