Four-week summer circus intensive course for anyone aged 16+ to learn aerial and ground-based circus arts at Aerial Edge.
Aerial Edge is running a four-week circus summer intensive starting on 1 March 2027, open to anyone aged 16 and over. It's a month of aerial and ground-based circus arts, and you don't need any prior experience to join in.
If you've never heard of them, Aerial Edge is Glasgow's circus school, founded in 2007 and grown into Scotland's largest. It's a non-profit based on the South Side at Edmiston Trade Park, right near Ibrox stadium, and it's run by instructors who are also performers. They teach aerial and acrobatic circus arts to children and adults alike, and the school is home to a famous flying trapeze. The range of aerial apparatus is wide, from hoop, rope and silks to straps, chains and different trapeze styles, alongside acrobatic classes like trampoline, tumbling, handstands, acrobalance, dance acrobatics and parkour.
Beyond the summer intensive, the school runs full-time Foundation Courses in Circus Arts, evening and weekend recreational classes, Youth Circus for ages 1-7, 7-13 and 13-18, and all-day holiday camps. It's a safe, encouraging, non-competitive community where life skills are developed alongside physical ones. The summer intensive is pitched to anyone 16+ as a chance to step out of your comfort zone and discover what you're capable of.
