Weekly Wednesday evening contemplative yoga class drawing on the Yoga in Daily Life system, suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners.
Yoga for All runs at The Salisbury Centre on Wednesday evenings, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. It's a contemplative class that draws on the Yoga in Daily Life® system, combining slow and adaptable yoga asanas with pranayama breathing exercises and simple self-enquiry meditation. It's designed to suit beginners and experienced practitioners alike, and it's built to accommodate most health conditions and some physical limitations, so you don't need to be flexible or a regular to get something out of it.
Swami Ganga Mata leads the session on behalf of the charity Yoga in Daily Life Scotland, with volunteer Marcus Wilson occasionally covering. The charity itself is run by a small team of volunteer trustees who've moved to the Scottish Borders after fifteen years in Edinburgh, and who work for the well-being of people, animals and the environment. The Salisbury Centre is an Edinburgh community hub open to anyone wanting to develop their spiritual, psychological and creative life, with a programme of courses, workshops, lectures, meditations and one-to-one therapeutic work alongside indoor and outdoor hire.

One practical thing to keep in mind: The Studio isn't wheelchair accessible at the moment, though the kitchen door and toilet are, and the Garden can be reached via a movable ramp through the Art Room Annex. The class is drop-in at £15, or you can get a 6-class pass for £60, which also works for online classes. Payment is by cash or bank transfer. It runs every Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at The Studio, The Salisbury Centre, 2 Salisbury Road, Edinburgh, EH16 5AB.
