Family craft workshop at Lauriston Castle where adults and children make potions, cast spells and craft a witch or wizard hat.
Witches and Wizards is at Lauriston Castle on Saturday 24 October, part of the castle's family craft workshops. It's a session for ages five and up, and the whole thing is built around the family working together rather than a children's activity you drop the kids off at. You'll be run alongside castle staff, and the invitation is to turn up dressed up and ready for action: making potions, casting spells and crafting a witch or wizard hat while listening to tales of magical mischief.
It's pitched as a family outing, and the suggestion is to make a day of it and have lunch at Mimi's café on site. The workshop itself is pre-booked, and a light snack is provided for those who've paid. Children must be accompanied by paying adults, so it's a shared thing from start to finish.
