Stand-up show 'Work In Progress' by Will Owen, with Ania Magliano and Simon Amstell, at Monkey Barrel Comedy.
Will Owen is bringing a work-in-progress show to Monkey Barrel Comedy on Saturday 5 December. It's a 60-minute set, and as the title suggests, it's a night of new material being worked through in front of a live audience rather than a finished hour. If you've seen him before, you know the drill: this is the stage where the jokes get tightened and the set takes shape.
Owen is known for a sharp, high-energy style. He describes his work as a mix of observational humour, quick comebacks and clever wordplay, and he's built a reputation for razor-sharp wit and impeccable timing. The energy he brings to the stage is a big part of the draw, so this is a good chance to see how a new hour comes together from the ground up.
He won't be on his own for the night. The bill includes Ania Magliano and Simon Amstell, so you'll get two other acts alongside his main set. With three comics on the bill, it's a full evening of stand-up rather than just a single spot.
