Free exhibition of poems and photographs by sisters Rachel Barr and Bridget Grant about their experience with a glioblastoma diagnosis.
The Space Between Us is running at North Edinburgh Arts from 16 to 29 October, a combined exhibition of poetry and photography by sisters Rachel Barr and Bridget Grant. The two work together here, pairing poems with images to look at the impact of a glioblastoma brain tumour diagnosis. It's a personal subject, and the work comes from the two of them as a pair rather than as separate artists.
North Edinburgh Arts describes the exhibition as a tender, honest and deeply moving body of work, and they've said they're proud to support it. By bringing together poetry and photography, the exhibition offers a personal perspective on what it's like to live with such a diagnosis, rather than looking at it from a distance. The sisters are also raising funds for Brain Tumour Support throughout the run.
