A West End show with singers and a live band playing Fleetwood Mac hits by candlelight at the Assembly Rooms.
The Music of Fleetwood Mac By Candlelight comes to The Assembly Rooms on Saturday 13 February 2027, as part of the Concerts by Candlelight series produced by Kinda Dusty Ltd across the UK and Ireland. It's a tribute to Fleetwood Mac, performed by a cast of West End singers and a live band, and it arrives in Edinburgh direct from London's West End. The organisers bill it as a 'Landslide' concert, played by candlelight.
The set is built around Fleetwood Mac hits, with 'Little Lies', 'The Chain', 'Rhiannon', 'Don't Stop', 'Go Your Own Way', 'Gypsy' and 'Dreams' among the songs they'll be working through. It's a West End cast on the vocals, so the focus is on the singing, with a live band backing them throughout. The candlelight is the framing for the whole thing, and the setlist pulls from the songs that most people know.
The Assembly Rooms at 54 George Street is one of the city centre's largest multi-purpose event spaces, and it's been a fixture here for more than two centuries. It's seen monarchy and celebrity royalty pass through, and it played its part in two world wars. The Ballroom, Music Hall, Drawing Rooms and Crush Hall are its most stunning spaces, and the whole place went through an extensive restoration and a major redevelopment that was completed in 2012. The interior still holds onto its old-school elegance — enormous crystal chandeliers, gleaming gold leaf and giant gilt mirrors — alongside the newer technology that came with the redevelopment.
