A festive concert featuring West End singers and a live band performing Christmas favourites in a candlelit setting at The Assembly Rooms.
Christmas by Candlelight comes to The Assembly Rooms on Wednesday 2 and Wednesday 9 December, with matinees at 4:00pm and evening shows at 7:30pm on both dates. It's a West End cast and a live band taking over the rooms, and the whole thing is lit by candlelight, which is where the title comes from.
The set is built around the festive favourites you've heard a thousand times: White Christmas, Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!, Santa Baby, O Holy Night and Winter Wonderland. It's the kind of repertoire that doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, just puts the songs in a room full of candles and lets them do their thing. The Assembly Rooms has a full licensed bar, so you can grab a drink before you take your seat.
