The Jazz Room tribute band plays Marvin Gaye's most beloved songs in a soul-funk set at Assembly Roxy.
The Jazz Room brings a night dedicated to Marvin Gaye to Assembly Roxy on Saturday 20 February 2027. It's part of their tribute series at the Southside venue, which has previously run nights for New Orleans jazz and tributes to Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong.
The focus here is Gaye, one of soul's most recognisable voices, known for the silky, hypnotic quality of his singing and an emotional depth that keeps him regarded as one of the most influential soul artists of all time. A live band works through his most beloved songs in a soul-funk set, so it's a night built around the songs rather than a single album. The production is touring the UK, and this is the Edinburgh stop.
