Aled Jones and Alexander Armstrong lead a live sing-along of traditional carols, modern festive favourites and seasonal classics.
Aled Jones and Alexander Armstrong bring The Big Christmas Sing-A-Long to The Queen's Hall on Sunday 13 December, as part of a UK tour presented by SJM Concert. It's a sing-along in the truest sense: the two of them lead the room through a mix of traditional carols, modern festive favourites and timeless seasonal classics, and they've asked the audience to turn up in their favourite Christmas jumpers and join in. If you're the type who usually hums along from the back, this is the one where you're actually meant to sing.
Jones and Armstrong come from very different backgrounds, and that's a good part of the draw. Aled Jones is one of the country's most recognisable voices, and he'll perform his signature rendition of Walking in the Air. He's sung for the Pope and the Royal Family, released more than 40 albums with over 10 million sales, and more than 40 Silver, Gold and Platinum discs. He also still hosts Songs of Praise on BBC1 and Classic FM. Alexander Armstrong, best known as half of the comedy duo Armstrong and Miller, brings the humour and warmth as a bass-baritone singer, and is a regular on Have I Got News For You and the BBC1 quiz show Pointless. Together they cover the singing and the hosting, so the night moves between the carols and the banter.

The Edinburgh date is one stop on a UK tour that kicks off in Llandudno on 24 November and wraps up in London on 21 December. It's an over-14s show, so it's more of an evening out than a family matinee. The Queen's Hall is at 85-89 Clerk Street, EH8 9JG, with doors opening at 7:00pm and the show starting at 8:00pm. Tickets range from £35 to £139.50, which include a 10% booking fee per ticket and a £2 transaction fee.
