Sketch & Sip at CARU

Caru by Candlelight is hosting a Sketch & Sip art class on Sunday 25 October, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. It's run by Caru Spirits, and the whole thing pairs a sketching class with wine and cocktails at the venue's candlelit home on East Market Street.

A resident artist leads the room through different drawing techniques, and each class is built around a new theme. It's aimed at anyone starting out or continuing their creative journey, so it works whether you've never picked up a pencil or you're just looking for a reason to get back into it. The session lasts an hour and a half, which is enough time to get a few things on paper without it feeling like a full-on commitment.

One of the better bits is that you don't need to bring your own kit. The ticket covers the class, the drawing materials, and two drinks, so you can just turn up and get started. It's a candlelit space, and the drinks are from Caru's own spirits, which fits the whole vibe of the evening. The drinks are part of the deal, not an extra you have to figure out on the night.
