Live rock and metal concert by the Newcastle band Ruled By Raptors at Bannerman's.
Ruled By Raptors play Bannerman's on Thursday 15 October, starting at 7:00 PM. They're a rock and metal band from Newcastle upon Tyne, and this is a headline show with the four of them on stage: Will Robson on drums and percussion, Matthew Dewar on guitars and vocals, Nick Oliver on bass and backing vocals, and Chris Bradley on vocals and guitars.
They've been around since 2019 and have spent that time building a reputation for explosive live shows that blend progressive elements, high-octane riffs and dynamic vocals. The live side of things is where they've done most of their work: they played Slam Dunk Festival 2022 as MC Lars' backing band and Bloodstock Festival 2025. They've shared stages with MC Lars, the Grammy nominee Mega Ran, Koo Koo, Arxx, Mason Hill, Rxptrs, Mother Vulture, Blank Atlas and The 900.
That touring has picked up national attention along the way. They had a six-week rotation on Kerrang! Radio, features on BBC Introducing, and coverage in Powerplay Magazine, Narc, The Crack and Vulture Hound Magazine. It's a fair bit of ground to have covered since they first got together in the North East, and this is a chance to catch them in a proper club setting here in Edinburgh.
